Farmers encouraged to contribute to Common Agricultural Policy

MSP Claudia Beamish is encouraging local farmers and rural businesses to contribute to the Scottish Government’s latest consultations on the Common Agricultural Policy.

The first consultation, running until March 17, is on arrangements to distribute direct payments to farmers between 2015 and 2020.

The second, ending on February 28, is on the future of the Scottish Rural Development Programme which distributes funding for a range of projects.
