9. Number 16
Michelin Recommended.
"The passionately run Number 16 occupies a narrow former shop and its tables are split between the ground floor and a mezzanine level. Dishes showcase prime Scottish ingredients and many exhibit subtle modern touches. The wine list provides interest and, like the cooking, represents good value."

10. Shucks
Michelin Recommended.
"This smart, contemporary, nautically themed restaurant champions the best of Scottish seafood. Start with some snacks and a glass of champagne from the trolley before tucking in to neatly presented dishes with complementary flavour combinations and the occasional Asian touch."

11. Gaga Bar and Kitchen
Michelin Recommended: "One side is a former butcher’s shop with the original glazed tiles on the walls, whilst the other is more rustic with colourful pot plants dotted around. Grab one of the booths if you can and start with a cocktail, then dive right into the menu of vibrantly flavoured, Malaysian-inspired dishes – the fried chicken with Sichuan hot sauce and orange zest is a highlight. Lively, delicious and great value, this has all the ingredients for a fun night out." | Gaga
