The site of Pisces restaurant on the corner of Sinclair Drive in Battlefield is currently getting a makeover before reopening as Frank’s Pizza this weekend. Frank’s opening in Finnieston in 2021 and has led the charge for New York style pizza that has become a local food trend. The menu will include their signature pizzas including pepperoni, salami or sausage and peppers. Expect sides like mozzarella sticks, garlic bread knots and chicken tenders. A new addition to the Southside version of Frank’s will be wine, beer and cocktails as the new place has a drinks licence.
Check out some of the other highlights of the local pizza circuit below.

13. Ristorante Pieno - 311 Hope Street
Mi Amore! Would you look at that Burrata pizza from Ristorante Pieno on Hope Street. One of our readers suggested we head down to the Italian to try their pizza, and we were blown away - the picture tells you all you need to know. | Contributed
14. Leopardo Pizza - 86 Provan Walk
Leopardo Pizza is to pizza what Bread Meats Bread is to burgers in Glasgow. The crème de la crème and very reliably good - the only problem is its location, its a bit out of the way in the Glasgow Fort, great for shoppers, not so great for foodies. Does it beat Paesano? On a good day perhaps, but its marginal, I'd say its on the same level but I just can't say for sure. | City Press

15. Romans Pizzeria - 44 Howard Street
You can get some proper weird pizzas in Romans Pizzeria - put gherkins on there, get real freaky with it. Formerly they had their own spot in the Merchant City - but now operate out of Hootenanny's off St Enoch Square - if that's not your vibe, you can get them delivered to wherever you please. | Romans Pizzeria

16. Pizza Punks - 90 St Vincent Street
I'll be the first to admit, I didn't rate Pizza Punks - it wasn't that great when I first tried it. I thought their punk aesthetic was a bit tacky and their pizza didn't hold a candle to Paesano. This was years ago now - since getting dragged back into the St Vincent Street restaurant a few months ago, I have to say I like it a lot. Still not as much as Paesano, but it is much better than most pizzas in Glasgow. Their cocktails are a big draw too! Photo: Pizza Punks, City Centre
