Plans for a new takeaway in Woodside have been refused.

KL Business Service Ltd had hoped to turn the retail unit at 332 St George’s Road into a takeaway, however, Glasgow City Council planning officials decided against the move.

The only noticeable change to the building would have been the addition of a flue at the rear.

But planning officials refused the proposal, noting it went against various guidelines, policies and plans, and said the flue would be too close to the windows of the residential units upstairs.
