Greyfriars Church is the venue for Round The Fireside

Lanark’s Greyfriars Church usually prides itself on keeping up with the times but it is hosting an event next week that unashamedly harks back to Christmasses past.

On Saturday, December 17 the kirk is the venue for Round the Fireside – Stories and Song for Christmas and Mid-winter.

It is an event that very much does what it says on the tin: adults and older children are invited along that evening to gather round the imaginary ‘fireside’ of professional traditional storytellers Allison Galbraith and Andy Hunter as they “share stories and song to mark the midwinter season”.

They invite everyone to “be swept back in to the magic and mystery of Christmas”.
