It’s not just youngsters who can enjoy some spooky-themed fun at Hallowe’en – there’s a quirky G66+ Live event taking place in Kirkintilloch for people of all ages.

Local eco adventure outfit Wild by Nature is inviting people to enjoy a hog roast with chestnuts and mulled wine, heritage/ghost walks, an evening pirate canoe trip and guided walks to an old ‘haunted’ asylum.

People are being encouraged to dress up in costume and buskers are welcome.

A spokesperson for Kirkintilloch-based Wild by Nature said: “This is a first for Kirkintilloch, only made possible through volunteer involvement and support from G66+ Live, along with involvement from Braveheart caterers, East Dunbartonshire Council and Wild by Nature.

“Come along have a laugh. It’s a community-based event for locals to have some traditional autumn fun – with something for families and adults too.”

There will also be Hallowe’en favourites such as bobbing for apples. It is hoped the informal event might become an annual fixture.
