Het Pint will continue in Lanark Tolbooth

ONE of Lanark’s most ancient traditions, the Het Pint, continues on Ne’erday morning in the town’s Tolbooth.

Commencing at 10am sharp next Wednesday, there will be the usual issuing of hot mulled ale to any Lanarkian up and about at that time on the first day of the year; over-60s can line up to claim the a crisp pound note which is the modern equivalent of the ancient bequest.
