Kirkland in museum

Kirkland’s book was well-received when Scottish publishers Strident launched it in May and now he is signed up to a series of literary events and school visits including a visit Kilsyth Academy.

“I’m also appearing at Tidelines Literary Festival in North Ayrshire and I’m being interviewed by Reporting Scotland in August for it. Irritable Vowel Syndrome in the museum in Cumbernauld library is the start of it all. The book is getting good reviews (so far) but once I’m out and about I can start promoting it and myself! The other cool thing is that I’m now registered on the Scottish Book Trust database so I can be summoned like a spirit to any event and I’ll be paid for it.”

See Kirkland at 2pm on Thursday, August 8 for his one-man show Irritable Vowel Syndrome. His description: “It’s a show about life, books and a life of books. All the books I read growing up I’ll be selling and signing copies of Conjuring The Infinite at the end of it. There will be a Q&A session too.
