KISS tribute brings glitz to Lanark

The world’s leading KISS tribute band are coming back to Lanark after their hugely successful show in the town early last year.

On Friday, October 5, hard rock fans will welcome back West Midlands band Dressed To Kill to Lanark’s Agriculture Centre for the Glitz ‘n’ Glam Show.

The band have been touring constantly since they last played Lanark.

Local man Alan Douglas, who is promoting the event, said: “Last year the band were genuinely impressed with the venue and the crowd.

“They don’t normally play such rural areas so they really didn’t expect as many people to buy tickets but there were over 450 folk at that show.

“The band wants to come back, because the Lanark people made it a good night.”

This year, Dressed To Kill are promising a bigger, more over-the-top show and they’re confident that everyone will love it!

Their set list includes big hits such as Love Gun and Crazy Nights; Dressed To Kill are as close as it gets to the real thing.

Alan has also managed to secure two support acts.

Gallus Cooper – the UK’s number one Alice Cooper tribute band – brings a full, unforgettable show for fans of the Poison singer.

They were also nominated as The Best Scottish tribute act at the Scottish New Music Awards 2012.

Classic rock cover band Strange Brew will complete the bill and fans of the likes of Free, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy will be rocking through their set.

Alan added: “The line-up is as good as it gets. There’s been a lot of organisation this year but I’ve managed to keep ticket prices the same as the last show even though prices are increasing everywhere.

“It’s now down to the people of the town to spread the word and buy tickets!

“I can’t promise tickets will be available on the door and if they are they will cost considerably more.

“That’s a way of thanking those who buy their tickets in advance.”
