Lanark and Biggar bakers are top in Scotland
Kym Fletcher’s brilliant baking has been recognised in this year’s awards.
Wallace Tea Rooms scooped Best Tearoom Award, beating off stiff competition from the other three finalists.

Hide AdAnd there was a second success from Clydesdale with Biggar Flavour being judged Scotland’s Best Bakery.
“I am absolutely flabbergasted,” said Kym on Monday, as congratulations poured in from as far afield as the USA and Australia.
She and business partner Stuart Dyer opened the Wallace Tea Rooms in the Broomgate in March last year and she had not expected to win against long-established competitors.
“We were completely overwhelmed,” she said. “It was absolutely fantastic.” In Biggar Ranald and Jane Brown are celebrating after Biggar Flavour, which they opened in the High Street in June 2011, was voted top bakery.
“We are absolutely delighted,” said Jane.
Gouldings Garden Centre in the Clyde Valley was also in the top four for Scotland’s Best Restaurant category.
