Lanark Grammar pupils are Ready to Rock with hit Queen musical

The West End musical, based on the songs of legendary rock outfit Queen, will be performed by the pupils from June 14 to 16.

Show director Alison Murray is delighted with the pupils’ efforts despite being Under Pressure to get everything ready for the performances.

She said: “Because a lot of the pupils knew a lot of the songs it made a difference – it is a very up to date musical.

“We also took them to see the show when it was at the King’s Theatre in Glasgow earlier this year, which gave them a great chance to see how the professionals do it.

“Every single one of them has been working very hard – both during school time and also rehearsing at the weekends as well.”
