Lex Gold’s new book is sure to delight

Former Scottish Premier League Chairman Lex Gold has written his autobiography – but it will interest more than just football fans.

Lex, whose book Being Right is not Sufficient is in the shops now, has led a remarkable life, from his early days growing up in Douglas Water and captaining Lanark Grammar to Scottish Schools Cup glory to being one of the most recognisable faces in Scottish football as Chairman of Hibernian and then as SPL Executive Chairman.

But the 70-year-old also had a varied career in the Civil Service, working in counter-terrorism and later in the newly-established Scottish Enterprise.

Lex said: “The variety in the book will definitely surprise people.”
