New art gallery opens in Biggar
THE waiting is over for Melissa Mowat as she opens her new art gallery in Biggar.The Gladstone Gallery on High Street opens its doors today, Saturday, June 4.
Melissa (32), who previously ran Lanark Gallery in North Vennel, is looking forward to getting back into the community after time out due to the birth of kids Hazel (11) and seven-year-old Jenny.
She said: “I have lived in Biggar since 2006 and it’s the perfect place to open a gallery. It has such a vibrant high street, which is very rare these days.”
