New Cumbernauld fundraising team launched
CANCER care services will be boosted through the efforts of a new local fundraising team.
The Marie Curie Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Fundraising Group just held its official launch at Cumbernauld College and the volunteers will raise much-needed cash to support home-based nursing services for terminally ill people.
Janet McCabe, chairwoman of the local group, said: “I joined the group because we all have loved ones who would benefit from the care Marie Curie Cancer Care can provide at a very emotional time. We want to raise awareness of the services available from Marie Curie and encourage our community to get involved in fundraising for this very worthy cause.”
