And Crossford resident Laurie Thompson is hoping more people from this area will join in, to swell the ranks. Laurie said: “The last two shows we have held have been real successes especially our most recent show, A Christmas Carol.

“However, we are always looking for new members to come and join us.

“Anyone can join and you are always guaranteed a great welcome.

“I have been a member for 25 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. We have members scattered all over Lanarkshire including several from Clydesdale but we would like to add a few more.

“Guys and Dolls is a great show and there are around a dozen supporting roles which are terrific.

“Everyone knows the songs and the characters and it’s definitely one of the most popular shows to do.”

Our Lady’s Musical Society’s production takes place on November 4 in Motherwell Theatre.

Rehearsals for the show begin on Thursday, March 21, in Our Lady’s High School in Motherwell.
