New Lanark looks to the stars

ORGANISERS of New Lanark Visitor Centre’s Stargazing Live event will be hoping for clear skies over the World Heritage site tonight (Saturday January 21),

The event will see beginners, amateur astronomers and professional stargazers all under – or should that be on top of – the one roof exploring the night sky.

Last year even a heavy snowfall did not stop local enthusiasts turning out, and organisers are hoping for better weather this time.
