New poems published for the Biggar Little Festival

Biggar writer Andrew McCallum has published a collection of short poems exclusively for this year’s Biggar Little Festival.

Entitled Fifty Biggar Little Poems, only 50 copies have been printed and it will be available during the Festival from the town’s Atkinson-Pryce Bookshop.

Said Andrew: “I was looking to publish a pamphlet to put forward for next year’s Callum MacDonald Memorial Prize and I hit on the idea of putting together a pamphlet of English-language poems inspired by Biggar and the countryside.

“However, the project outgrew the pamphlet form and I ended up with a wee book.”
