Oxford Rocks for Clydesdale girlband U-Nique

LOCAL girlband U-Nique have been busy over the summer months taking their talents to a two-day festival in Oxford.

The girls, Shereen Cutkelvin and Danielle Bainbridge from Lanark and Lauren Giffen from Coatbridge, played the Oxford Rocks Live event alongside older and more established names.

These included producer Taz, who wrote hip-hop star Dizzee Rascal’s first number one hit Just a Rascal, and rapper Graziella Affinita, from X Factor finalists Miss Frank.

The girls sang a mix of songs, ranging from their own original music to covers from the Jacksons and Martha and the Vandellas.

And they obviously made an impression as they have been invited back to the 02 Academy in Oxford at the end of July.
