Peregrine season to begin at Falls of Clyde Visitor Centre

The Scottish Wildlife Trust’s Falls of Clyde Visitor Centre in New Lanark will mark the start of the peregrine season with activities starting from 10am on Saturday, March 22.

This free event will be the first opportunity for people to undertake the brand-new self-guided Peregrine Trail when the peregrine site opens at 11.30am.

Visitors who complete the trail will then be entered into a draw to win a free Family Badger Experience.

The Falls of Clyde at New Lanark has been rated as one of the best places in the UK to see peregrine falcons.

So this event should give visitors an excellent chance to learn about the bird, the fastest member of the animal kingdom on the planet.

Using the new digiscope, people will be given the chance to take pictures of the birds on their own cameras or even their mobile phones.
