The team – made up of girls who attend Mearns Castle High School and East Kilbride schools Duncanrig High and Calderglen High – travelled to Florida on Wednesday, April 25.

They then had three days of training at Spotlight Dance Studio on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

On the Friday evening, they also had a chance to dance on the World’s stage in preparation for their section of the World Finals on the Saturday.

The Elite team – which has three coaches and eight members – enjoyed tremendous support from the rest of the club, who participated in a range of fundraising events to help finance their trip to Florida.
