Poozies come to Biggar Little Festival

GIRL Power is on its way to Biggar. For Clydesdale Folk Club is delighted to be hosting the world famous female group, the Poozies, as part of the Biggar Little Festival.

Formed in 1990, the band have undergone many changes since. The current line-up consists of two original members Mary MacMaster on harp, Sally Barker on guitar and vocals along with Eilidh Shaw on fiddle and Mairearad Green on accordion.

They serve up an exciting blend of traditional and contemporary music.

It is perhaps this evolution of the band which has kept a constant freshness to their music and globally won them thousands of fans.

The concert will be held at Biggar Municipal Hall on Saturday, October 27. Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm start.

Tickets are priced £12 (£10 for members) and are on sale online at www.biggar-little-festival.com, at the festival box office in the Gillespie Centre and at Atkinson-Pryce Books.
