The festival aims to create a vibrant atmosphere which reinforces that differences in social or economic status should not be a barrier in today’s society.

Councillor Paul O’Kane, Convener for Education and Equalities, said: “I am delighted that Festival of Colour is returning again this year to Rouken Glen Park after the success of previous years.

East Renfrewshire is an incredibly diverse area which brings together people from a variety of different backgrounds and life experiences to live, work, learn and enjoy the local community.

“Festival of Colour promotes positive relations in the area, encouraging personal experiences and ideas to be shared – in the hope that new relationships can be formed.”
