Sainbury's Darnley collect for the homeless
Sainsbury's Darnley have been full of Christmas Spirit this Christmas after reading a post on social media requesting clothing and sleeping bags to help Glasgow's homeless.
Not only did the take part in handing out vital clothing and warm items along with food and hot drinks to the homeless in Glasgow city centre but also set up a donation station at the front of the store, which had a phenomenal response from their customers and colleagues.
To date they have now donated thousands of warm items to six homeless charities across Glasgow and also supported a local food share group.
The store wishes to thank every customer and colleague who donated as their small act of kindness has made a huge difference to those who need it most.
