The Yorkshire quartet have released a new single – ‘Drive’ – to critical acclaim and look destined for great things.

‘Drive’ resonates with the soaring anthemic qualities and emotional depth that typifies the likes of early U2, The Killers and Arcade Fire.

Featuring vocalist Coyle Girelli’s dual stories of emotional and physical crashes, ‘Drive’ demonstrates The Chevin’s ability to swerve between the defiant and the devastated.

The single is taken from the band’s debut album ‘Borderland’ that will be released in August. Recorded in a ranch in the desert of El Paso, South Texas, ‘Borderland’ is rich with creative rock and compelling emotional themes.

Girelli says: “Melodically it’s quite uplifting, but the undertone is constantly sad. These songs, personally for me, were very therapeutic and I hope for other people they are too.”
