School show a sellout success

MONTHS of hard work paid off for the organisers of Greenfaulds High School’s Christmas Show.

The big event – dubbed “The Xmas Factor” – followed the format of that other TV music show with an X in its title.

So of course there was a panel of judges who cast their sometimes critical eye over the many acts. These included solo singers, musicians and dance troupes from across the school years – and even a guitar-toting Santa Claus.

The event included two performances, one in the evening for parents and other members of the local community, and one in the school itself for pupils.

The shows were sold out – and the good news is that both performances helped to raise money for various good causes, including Strathcarron Hospice and Redburn School in Cumbernauld.

A spokesman for Greenfaulds High said: “The rehearsals for the show took place after school, and have been going on for months.

“A big thanks to all the performers who made it such a spectacular success, and to those behind the scenes who put in such a lot of time and effort.”
