Shine Youth Theatre off to London’s West End

The big day is almost here for the members of Shine Youth Theatre as they get set to star in London’s West End.

Having raised a massive amount of money, the talented youngsters will be making their way to London to perform in the Billy Elliot showcase, at the Victoria Palace Theatre.

Shine head of fundraising Marion Moffat said “Everyone is excited to be going.

“It’s an early start on Saturday morning (7am) and we will be down in London in time to rehearse in the theatre before the performance on Sunday.

“Forty three children will be performing on stage and the number of people travelling from Carluke and the wider area will be over 100 so they won’t be short of support.”

The performance, which takes place this Sunday, July 17 is the culmination of Shine’s efforts since it was announced earlier this year that they were to perform Billy Elliot at the Pavilion Theatre in Glasgow.
