Sinopia Quartet on New Lanark stage this Saturday

A FABULOUS foursome will entertain the audience at New Lanark Institute later this week as part of the ongoing Music in Lanark series.

The Sinopia Quartet comprises of four of Scotland’s leading professional string players.

Graduates of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, they have gained various chamber music, orchestral and solo prizes.

Gabi Maas (violin) Daniel Paterson (violin ) Daniel Meszoly (viola) Laura Sergeant (cello) have performed with various orchestras and ensembles including the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra and Scottish Opera.

They have also worked with various leading musicians including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Peter Manning and Elizabeth Leighton.

The Sinopia Quartet will perform at the New Lanark Institute on Saturday, January 31, at 7.45pm.

Tickets cost £10 (£1 for under-18s) and are available from the Music in Lanark website, from Playful Greetings/Post Office, Tariq Newsagents and the New Lanark Mill Hotel.
