Southside food establishments shortlisted for Scottish Asian Food Awards

The Southside's Asian restaurants are serving up some delicious dishes.

Four Southside food establishments have been named as finalists in the first ever Scottish Asian Food Awards.

The list of finalists has been compiled and announced based on hundreds of nominations received from the public.

The nominations from the Southside are:

Turban Tandoori, Giffnock (Outsanding Indian Restaurant of the Year – South West Scotland); Kam Wa, Pollokshaws Road (Takeaway and Home Delivery of the Year – South West Scotland); Ambala Restaurant, Pollokshields (Pakistan Restaurant of the Year) and Shinwari Restaurant (Unique Asian Restaurant of the Year).

The awards aim to showcase the success, entrepreneurial spirit and creativity that fuel the Scottish Asian Food industry, with categories ranging from Japanese Restaurant of the year, Outstanding Indian Restaurant and 5 Star Indian Takeaway.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Glasgow on Monday, November 19.
