Suchet’s painful journey

ACTOR David Suchet is back on stage with the harrowing drama Long Day’s Journey Into Night.

Suchet, best known for his portrayal of Agatha Christie’s detective Hercule Poirot, won an emmy in 2008 for his starring role in BBC drama Maxwell and last year toured with the Arthur Miller play All My Sons.

Joining Suchet is triple Emmy Award winner Laurie Metcalf. Best known as Jackie Harris on the sitcom Roseanne, Laurie also voiced Andy’s Mum in the Toy Story films.

Written by Eugene O’Neill, the play depicts family’s bitter feuding and collapse during a single day. See it at the Theatre Royal from March 26-31. Tickets, £15-£30, can be purchased 08448 717 647.
