Sunny hopes for Lesmahagow Show

THE agricultural show season in Clydesdale kicks off this Saturday, May 25, with Lesmahagow Farmers’ Society hoping for a big turn out of sheep, cattle and horses.

Highlights should include a sheep-shearing contest, and a tug-of-war competition open to everyone.

The Clydesdale horses should again prove popular, as should the pony and horse competitions.

Other attractions include the craft tent and industrial section and a Companion Dog Show.

The show, at Brocketsbrae, is open from 9am onwards and the parade of winners takes place around 2.30pm.
