The blues are still blue

THE boys are back in town – and bringing some swagger to the King’s Theatre.

This week, the city centre venue hosts the latest incarnation of The Blues Brothers, complete with a stamp of approval from Dan Aykroyd and Judith Belushi.

Ok, so Aykroyd himself isn’t slipping on the shades again, but the duo present The Blues Brothers Approved, featuring original members of the west end productions — as well as a few new surprises.

Join Jake and Elwood on a mission to bring soul and blues into the heart of Glasgow with a few new twists and turns up their sleeves — and the fabulous Bluettes to accompany them.

There are new songs to hear, as well as the classics guaranteed to have everyone dancing: Everybody, Gimme Some Lovin, Think and Sweet Home Chicago...and the list goes on.

So dust off those pork pie hats and dig out the Wayfarers — because this is one musical which downright demands that you Shake a Tailfeather before the curtain falls.

n The Blues Brothers Approved runs March 25-27. Tickets £10-£25 from 0844 871 7648.
