The Spirits of St Mary's Convent, Arthurlie

It is unclear what – or who – haunts the former convent site, but it’s fair to say that they like their presence to be known.

Local legend has it that it is the ghosts of former nuns who lived in the convent, not quite ready to give up their home just yet.

Residents have claimed to have seen a figure out the corner of their eye only to turn to see no one there.

They have also seen shadows move around the former site and hear whispers and prayers been said softly.

Very creepy indeed...
