Walk this way to help hospice

FANCY walking under the stars to help raise much need funds for Strathcarron Hospice? Then here is the event for you!

Registration is now open for the Strathcarron Hospice Midnight Tiara Walk, on May 18.

This is a fantastic event where you and your friends can walk five or ten miles through the streets of Stirling. You will be provided with a special walk T-shirt, flashing tiara, backpack, chocolate, water, a medal and bacon /sausage roll and hot drink when you finish. There will be a large stage where Central FM DJ Steve Courtney will entertain you as you wait for the starting whistle at midnight. Registration costs £20 and all that we ask is that you raise a minimum of £30 sponsorship for the hospice.

A spokesperson for the hospice said: “Strathcarron Hospice provides vital palliative care to the people of Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth. All our services at Strathcarron are free, but obviously such specialised care is expensive to provide and although we received funding from the NHS we still have to raise over £69,000 each week to meet our costs.’’
