What’s on in Clydesdale today?

Railway enthusiasts will enjoy the annual steam weekend at the Leadhills and Wanlockhead Railway with activities taking place throughout both days.

In Carluke, the St John’s trekkers will be departing early in the morning to travel to Lortmure Loch, near Peebles and Carluke Primary School will host its garden fete on the school grounds from 10am to 1pm.

In Biggar, acclaimed author Kirsty Logan will be holding a literary lunch in the Elphinstone Hotel from 12.30pm where she will be signing copies of latest novel, The Gracekeepers.

In the evening, the Elph will play host to vocalist Dee from 9pm and Annabelle Chvostek is the latest international star to be part of this year’s Wee Gig series of concerts.

Annabelle will be on stage in Abington Village Hall from 8pm.
