What’s On in Clydesdale today?

DESPITE the temperatures dropping, there is plenty of events to keep you entertained throughout Clydesdale today.

In Lesmahagow the town’s village market will be open all morning in the Fountain Hall for you to pick up a bargain from a series of local traders.

Carluke Parish Historical Society members host their monthly open day from 10am to noon in their Hamilton Street base while Clydesdale International Twinning Association will host a fundraising event in Lanark’s Tolbooth.

In the evening popular Scottish band Bags of Rock will headline a concert in Lanark’s Memorial Hall organised by Lanark and District Pipe Band while over in Carluke a quiz night will be held in Kirkton Church Hall to raise funds for an orphanage in Kenya.

Over in Biggar, the Little Festival may be drawing to a close but there is still lots to do.

A singing and songwriting workshop takes place in the Corn Exchange from 10.30am and there is a kids Hallowe’en party in Biggar Sports Centre from 1pm.

In the evening disco divas and their partners can dance the night away in the Municipal Hall on the Biggar Little Love Train and American David Latto brings his band to the Corn Exchange stage from 8pm.
