Yehudi Menuhin School to perform in New Lanark

SIX members of the Yehudi Menuhin School in Surrey will be travelling north to entertain locals at the next Music in Lanark event.

Every year an ensemble from the school does a tour with the New Lanark Institute playing host to the first leg.

Music in Lanark chairman Jamie Hill said: “A group of six very talented international musicians will perform works by Bach, Beethoven and others. They are aged between 15 and 18.

“They are the musical talent of the future and we are thrilled to be hosting them.”

The Yehudi Menuhin School will play the New Lanark Institute on Thursday, February 12, at 7.45pm.

Tickets are available from the MiL website, at Lanark Post Office, Tariq’s Newsagent (Broomgate) and the New Lanark Gift Shop.
