A career that’s gone to the dogs

A CUMBERNAULD woman has swopped a job in a Glasgow bank to manage an animal sanctuary in Sri Lanka.

Jennifer Campbell (30) from Kildrum now works for a British charity called Animal SOS Sri Lanka which helps stray and sickly cats and dogs who have no-one else to care for them.

Go-getter Jennifer had done volunteer work in Brazil beforehand and also had an animal handling qualification under her belt - which made her an unusually good fit for this unconventional line of work.

And after impressing charity staff with her performance at an interview in London the job that so many animal lovers would covet was hers.
