A memorable day out at Tea in the Park
The event at the Alona Hotel in Strathclyde Park proved a massive success with more than double the anticipated figures arriving to take part in the various activities throughout the day.
More than 330 people had the opportunity of receiving advice, support and information from stall holders and partners including NHS Lanarkshire, Princes Royal Trust, Carers Together, North Lanarkshire Leisure and South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture.

Hide AdThe event kicked off from with the Memory Mile and activities in the park, a lone piper played the mile out.
There was then a musical memories performance in the marquee, followed by Yesterday Once More with Dave Marshall, before a second Memory Mile and activities.
During the day the Alona Hotel kept guests topped up with tea/coffee and cake within the marquee.
Lorna Hart, dementia advisor for North Lanarkshire, said: “With more than 9,000 people in Lanarkshire living with dementia it is paramount that the whole community join forces to help raise awareness and ensures that dementia is everyone’s business; these events helps us to meet our aim.
