A rousing start for the next 829 years at Lanark Grammar
DEPENDING on which historian you believe, it was either the eighth, ninth or even tenth Lanark Grammar School which was officially declared open on Friday.
And, if the last Grammar in Albany Drive went with hardly a whimper, the new Grammar certainly came in with a rousing bang!
Although the new school has actually been open for over two years, the official launch was held back until all its many facilities, such as outdoor games pitches, were completed.
