Launching last Wednesday (July 13) and running until August 9, the appeal invites pet lovers to get involved by heading down to their local Pets at Home and joining in with in-store activities, including a national raffle to win a Mini One car and £2,000 worth of holiday vouchers.

Staff at the stores will be getting involved in many exciting activities including skydives, 10K runs and cycles halfway across the country - all in aid of Support Adoption For Pets.

Amy Wilson, charity manager at Support Adoption For Pets said: “These fundraising drives are vital to help keep local animal sanctuaries across the UK fully functioning. Over the last 10 years we have given away over £15 million, helping over 900 animal re-homing and welfare organisations.

“In addition to our fundraising appeal, our grant award scheme offers a financial lifeline to rescue centres that struggle with the day-to-day pressures of looking after the pets in their care and keep the centre going. We want to continue to provide this level of support, but it is reliant on our fundraising drives and the amazing generosity of animal lovers.”
