Ailidh, a P7 pupil at Robert Owen Primary but heading for Lanark Grammar, asked Scizzors hairdresser Debbie Fletcher to cut off 13.5 inches of her hair for the Little Princess Trust, which supplies wigs for children living with cancer.

Ailidh’s proud mum Lesley said: “Through her Just Giving page she has raise £538 with gift aided on.

“It costs the trust £350 to make a wig so she is delighted to have raised this amount!

“Her dad , older sister Hannah and myself are so proud of her.”
