Ain’t no mountain high enough


The 30-year-old accountant raised more than £10,000 in donations in support of his 1,000-mile cycle from Calais to Barcelona, in just 11 days.
Mr Macdougall made the trip with two fellow cyclists, Andy Russell and Bryan Marshall.

He told The Extra: “The focus is on me now and trying to get running shoes back on with The Great Scottish Run on October 6 to train for when my quadriceps recover!”
At aged seven, Stuart nearly died after suffering liver and kidney failure, before receiving life-saving treatment at Yorkhill.
