Alison Turley aiming to raise cash for daughter

Alison Turley needs to raise a minimum of £9,000 to build the room for nine-year-old Stanmore House School pupil Clare who suffers from cerebral palsy.

Currently the family’s total stands at £1,000. However a number of fundraising events are taking place in April. They are a bagpacking session in Lanark Tesco on April 4, family and friends taking part in the Kiltwalk on April 12 and a ladies night at Stanmore House School on the 24th of the month.

Alison said: “Clare can’t do much with her hands although she can use switches and likes to look at lights and bubbles and a sensory room will give her everything she needs and her own space. We have also been looking at technology whereby Clare can use her eyes to operate things but that is quite expensive.

“Myself and my husband Kerr care for Clare and we get help from our children Siobhan (24), Rachael (11) and Thomas (5). All the kids take a real interest in her and Thomas really gets her giggling.”
