Ambitious BID to improve Carluke town centre

THE chairman of Carluke Development Trust has outlined a number of exciting projects aimed at revitalising the town.

Tom Sneddon spoke at the Trust’s AGM, in Kirkton Church Hall, and discussed at length a new Business Improve District (BID) for the town centre, the state of Carluke’s famous old High Mill and a number of other projects on the Trust’s agenda.

Tom said: “Our recent Community Needs Analysis indicated that people want and would use a better town centre.

“It would be great for the town to be part of any new initiative which, in conjunction with a successful BID, could breathe new life into the High Street and its immediate surroundings.”
