Animal magic at SSPCA's Halloween night

The SSPCA's Glasgow centre is inviting local animal lovers to a haunted holiday Halloween party at the Rolls Royce Social Club in Ibrox.

Organisers hope to see as many costumes as possible at the October 27 event, as there will be prizes for the best dressed.

Inspector Stacey Erwin said: “We’re calling on animal lovers to join us to celebrate the haunted holiday.

“We don’t receive any government or lottery funding, which means we rely on the public to be able to continue our work rescuing and rehoming animals in desperate need of our help.

“Everyone is very welcome to come along, enjoy the fun and make a real difference to the lives of animals in their local communities.

“The party starts at 7pm and there will be a raffle, DJ, games and a prize for best dressed!”

She added: “We’re still accepting raffle prizes, sweeties and also food for a cold buffet, if you’d like to make a donation please visit the centre on 125 Kinnell Avenue, Cardonald, any day except Tuesday between 10am – 4pm.”
