Another day of closure for M74

Traffic across the area has faced major disruption since Friday, when a key stretch of the M74 was closed to allow demolition of the bridge at Bothwellpark Road.

Today the key arterial route is closed both north and soudbound from J4 Maryville to J5 Raith until tomorrow at 6am.

Police advise anyone planning to go out and about in the area today to study their options carefully, avoid the affected area and use alternative modes of transport.
