Appeal after serious assault in Kirkintilloch
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in Kirkintilloch at the weekend.
The incident happened around 1am on Saturday, February 21, at the junction of Townhead and Alexandra Street.
The victim suffered a head injury after he was attacked by another man, described as white, mid to late 30s, of slim build, wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt. He was in the company of a woman wearing a white jacket.
A police spokesman said no weapons were involved and the motive of the attack is unknown.
