Appeal after teenager vanishes from home

East Dunbartonshire people are being asked to look out for a 14-year-old Vietnamese boy who has disappeared from home.

Huu Ngyen Loe was last seen in Ingleby Barwick, Yorkshire, on Monday and it is believed he may have travelled north of the border to the Glasgow or surrounding area.

The teenager has not been in contact with his family since his disappearance and Scots police are now assisting with the search.

Cleveland Police, where Huu lives, believe he has his schoolbag and jacket with him.

A statement from the force said: “Huu is Vietnamese and is described as 5ft tall, with black hair and he has his left ear pierced and speaks limited English.

“It is unknown what Huu was wearing when he went missing but his school bag and coat are missing so it believed he has those with him.

“Anyone who may have seen him or anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.”
