Appeal for help to clean up Kilsyth’s Bogside Park

A COMMUNITY group hopes to see more locals turn out for the second of a series of cleanups in Bogside Park.

A similar event was held recently and the Friends of Bogside Park are thankful to everyone who helped them remove an entire skipload of rubbish from the park in Kilsyth.

A follow-up cleaning blitz is scheduled for Saturday, October 1, where the team will turn their attention to other areas of the park.

Commitee member Keila Singh said: “We hope to see a good number of people come out and lend a hand for this one-day cleanup.

“We will again have a skip available and would like everyone willing to help out to assemble in Bogside Road. Gloves will be provided.”

She added: “We’re hoping to make these cleanups a regular event.”
