Appeal for witnesses after Balloch abduction bid

POLICE are looking into an early morning incident in Balloch last Wednesday (May 11) – where a middle-aged man tried to abduct a lone female.

It is understood that the incident took place after 6.30am near the Balloch roundabout – when a male parked on the main road spied a 35 year old woman walking to Croy Station.

The man is believed to have got out of his car then approached the female. He then tried to chat with the woman – and police say that he then attempted to take her back to his car. Fortunately the female was able to escape – and her next move was to contact police.
